Sky Shipping

Sky Shipping is based out of a house in R.K. Puram, Sector 1. It’s House No. 670. Being in New Delhi means we are right in the middle of everything. The area is mostly residential, so our office has a very home-like feel to it. It’s not like those big glass buildings you see in Noida or Gurgaon. We have a few desks set up in the main rooms and the garage area is mostly used for storage. Shipping involves a lot of waiting and then a lot of rushing all at once. We spend hours on the phone with port authorities or checking on flight schedules. It’s a bit of a jigsaw puzzle trying to get everything to line up. Sometimes the paperwork gets stuck or a signature is missing, and we have to run around to get it fixed. My cousin helps me with the documentation and we have a boy who runs the errands. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. People usually find us because someone they know told them we were reliable. It's a simple operation. We drink a lot of coffee, look at a lot of screens, and try to make sure no one’s cargo gets left behind. The evenings are usually the busiest when we are trying to close the day's files. It’s just what we do to earn a living.
