B-16 in the Qutab Institutional Area is where you will find us, not too far from Katwaria Sarai. This place has been around for many years, and it feels like it. It’s a big building, and there are always people walking through the hallways, from doctors in white coats to families waiting for news. We do a lot of research here, but it’s also a hospital where babies are born and people come for checkups. It can feel a bit overwhelming because it’s so large, but once you get to know the different departments, it’s just a lot of people trying to do their jobs. The parking lot is almost always full, and the canteen is usually noisy around lunchtime. We spend our days looking at data, seeing patients, or sitting in meetings about how to improve things. It’s not a perfect place—the elevators can be slow and sometimes the air conditioning is too cold—but it’s where a lot of important medical work happens in Delhi. We aren't about flashy signs or big promises. We just focus on the science and the patient care that we’ve been doing for a long time. There is a lot of history in these walls, and you can feel that when you walk in. Most of the staff has been here for years, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit around the institute.
