Shinha General Store

We are over here at Rz/D/11/9 Durga Park in Palam Colony. Shinha General Store has been sitting on this corner for quite some time now. Most mornings start around six or seven because the early crowd needs their milk and bread before heading out to the station. It is a simple place, nothing fancy about the walls or the shelves, just a lot of stuff packed into a small area. We have the usual things like detergents, snacks, some basic medicines, and household plastics. Sometimes the street gets really crowded with rickshaws and we have to push our display racks back a bit. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We spend a lot of the afternoon just dusting the packets because the Palam air is always a bit heavy with grit. The counter is made of old wood and has seen better days, but it works for holding the ledger and the change box. We don't really have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is hidden. If someone asks for a specific brand of tea, we usually have it buried somewhere on the back shelf. It is just a routine life here in Durga Park. We keep the lights on until about ten at night when the colony finally goes quiet. It’s a lot of standing and waiting, but it is what we do to keep the shop running.
