Shikshan Sanskar Foundation

We are located at House Number 184 on the ground floor in Harijan Basti, which is in Section 7 of South West Delhi. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood compared to some other parts of the city. Being on the ground floor is great because it means anyone can just wander in without having to deal with stairs. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and most of the people living nearby know who we are. The office isn’t much to look at. We have some old wooden desks and a couple of filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don’t have a professional cleaning crew or a fancy lobby. We just keep the place as tidy as we can ourselves. Our work is mostly about education and helping kids and adults in the Basti learn new things. We don't have any big corporate sponsors or a massive budget. It’s just a local foundation run by people who live nearby. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but we just keep talking or working until it comes back on. We aren’t trying to be anything we’re not. We’re just a small group of people trying to be useful to our neighbors. It’s a simple life, and the work feels right to us. We’ve been part of this community for years and plan to stay here.
