Our office is over in Dwarka, specifically at Flat No 46 in Sector 6. It is a quiet enough area near the local market. This whole setup is a joint venture, which basically means a few of us came together to handle bigger projects that one person just could not do alone. Dealing with dams and large infrastructure means lots of meetings and piles of technical drawings that take up most of the desk space. We spend a lot of time on the phone or traveling to sites way outside of Delhi. The office here is mainly for the administrative side of things, like keeping track of the budget and talking to the engineers. It is not always easy, coordinating between different teams, but we manage somehow. You will find us at Plot No 13 B most days of the week. There is usually someone around to answer the door, though we are often out in the field. We do not really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people know us through the work we have already done on the ground. It is a lot of responsibility, working on stuff like dams, so we focus on the numbers and the safety rules. The paperwork is endless, but it is just part of the deal. We keep our coffee machine running all day and try to stay on top of the schedules. Sometimes the heat in Delhi makes it tough to work out on the sites, but the office here has a decent fan.
