Sach Upbhokta Bhandar

Sach Upbhokta Bhandar is tucked away in the DDA flats area of Kalkaji. We are at L-1/73a, right opposite the Kaveri Apartments. It’s a residential neighborhood, so most of our visitors are people living just a few buildings away. This isn't a high-street shop with bright lights. It’s a practical place where we keep daily essentials and grocery items. The space is a bit tight because we try to stock as much as possible for the neighbors. Sometimes you have to squeeze past a crate of milk to get to the lentils. We know almost everyone by name. We hear about their kids, their jobs, and the local gossip while we weigh out their orders. It’s a very human way of doing things. We don't have a computerized billing system that makes fancy noises. We use a pen and a notebook mostly. If the weather is nice, we stand outside the door and talk to passersby. The shop has been here through many changes in Kalkaji. We’ve seen the kids grow up and start coming in to buy things for their own houses. It’s a steady, quiet kind of life. We don't do home delivery with apps or anything. If you need something, you just walk over and we help you find it on the shelves. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood, and we like it that way.
