It is a bit unusual to have an office in an apartment building, but it makes for a quiet place to handle the logistics of the business. We focus on both escalators and elevators, which keeps us pretty busy across the city. Dwarka is a big area, and there are always new buildings going up or old ones that need their transport systems updated. Usually, our mornings are spent coordinating where the technicians need to go and making sure they have the right parts in their kits. Since we are based in an apartment, we have to be mindful of our neighbors, so we don't keep a lot of heavy machinery right here. Most of that is stored elsewhere or delivered straight to the job sites. We are a small group of people who just enjoy the mechanical challenge of making things move vertically or on an incline. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit and tie. We are usually in work clothes, ready to crawl into a pit or climb a ladder. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate stuff. We just want to make sure the elevators we look after are reliable so nobody gets stuck between floors. It’s a decent living and we take pride in the practical work we do every day.
