Raj Mandir Supermarket

Raj Mandir Supermarket is down in Manish Metro Plaza in Dwarka Sector 12. We have shops G-8 and 9, right there in Pocket-5, which puts us just below the SBI Bank. Having the bank upstairs is good because there is always a security guard around and plenty of people coming and going. It’s a bit of a maze in the plaza sometimes, but once you find us, it’s pretty straightforward. We tried to make it look like a proper supermarket, but it still feels like a neighborhood store at heart. The air conditioning works most of the time, though it struggles during those really hot Delhi June afternoons. We carry a lot of stuff, and sometimes the aisles get a little narrow when we are restocking the shelves with new snacks or detergents. The staff are just local guys from around here who know where everything is kept. We don't do any big advertising or anything; people just find us because they live nearby or they're doing their banking upstairs. It’s a lot of long hours standing on the tiled floor, and my back usually aches by the time we close up. We just keep going because this is what we do, serving the local folks in Dwarka as best as we can every day. Sometimes the inventory is a bit behind, but we always catch up eventually.
