Prakash Book Depot

Prakash Book Depot is over in the Kalu Sarai area, specifically at Shop Number 11 in the DDA Market. This part of Delhi, near Sarvapriya Vihar and the IIT Gate, is always packed with students. Our shop is right in the middle of it all, near the Vijay Mandal Enclave. It is a small shop, but we have books stacked from the floor to the ceiling. It can be a bit hard to move around when there are more than a few people inside. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the coaching institutes like FIITJEE and Made Easy bring in waves of students every year. The market is always buzzing with energy. We don’t have a website with a mission statement or anything promotional. We just sell books. Sometimes we have to dig through piles to find what someone is looking for. It’s a dusty, busy place, but that’s the nature of a book depot in Kalu Sarai. We open early and stay open until the evening when the crowds start to thin out. Most of the people who come in are looking for textbooks or competitive exam guides. We know the struggle of the students around here. The shop is a bit cramped, but it has everything a student might need. We don't do much advertising; people usually just find us by walking through the market. It is just a local business.
