Orenda India Cares Foundation

Being near the Saket Metro station is actually quite handy because it makes it easy for people to find us at Lane-2. We are up on the second floor of house number 55. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but not too bad. The office isn't very big, and we’ve had to squeeze in an extra desk lately because a new volunteer joined us. It’s a busy atmosphere here in Saidullajab. We deal with all sorts of situations every day. Sometimes it’s just giving advice and other times it’s more hands-on work. We don't have a uniform or anything, we just wear what’s comfortable. The Orenda India Cares Foundation is just a name on a sign, but the people here are what matter. We try to keep things simple and not get bogged down in too much paperwork, though it’s hard sometimes. Usually, we are out in the field more than we are in the office. It’s a bit messy with flyers and boxes everywhere. We don't mind the clutter as long as the work gets done. If you come by, you’ll probably see us all talking at once. It's a lively place to work, that's for sure. We often have lunch together at the small stall down the road. It gives us a break from the phones and the computer screens. It's just how we get through the long weeks. We are tired often but we keep at it.
