NKB Hotels is run out of B-409 in the Katyayani Apartment complex, which is over in Dwarka Sector 6. It’s an apartment-style office, which makes it feel a lot less stiff than those glass buildings in the city center. We like being in Dwarka because it's well-connected and has a bit more space. The office itself is basically a converted living area where we have set up our desks and computers. We have a small balcony where some of us go to get some fresh air during the day. It is a very relaxed environment, and we don't have any formal dress codes or anything like that. We spend our hours managing the hotels and making sure the paperwork is all in order. Sometimes the doorbell rings and it’s just a neighbor or a delivery, but that is part of being in an apartment building. We have a kitchen where we make our own lunch, and there is always a packet of biscuits on the table. We are a small group and we’ve known each other for a long time, so the work gets done without a lot of unnecessary meetings. It’s just a practical place to run a business from. We don't have any big slogans on the wall, just a calendar and some photos of the hotels we manage. It’s simple and it works for us. We just keep things moving one day at a time.
