Naraina Industrial Area is always a bit chaotic, and our place at C-206 is no different. We spend our days surrounded by stacks of paper and the smell of ink. Making diaries is a lot of repetitive work, but there’s something nice about seeing a finished book. We get really busy around the end of the year when everyone wants their new planners. Sometimes we are here until ten at night just to keep up with the orders. The machines we use are old, but they work fine if you know how to handle them just right. We’ve had the same crew for years, so we all know who does what without having to say much. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the boxes waiting to be shipped out. We don’t really have a fancy showroom for people to browse. If you want to see what we make, you just have to come into the workshop and look around at the stacks. There’s always paper scraps on the floor and the sound of the cutters going in the background. We try to keep things organized, but it’s a struggle when the orders come in fast. We just do our best to make sure the stitching is tight and the pages are straight. It’s a local business and we like it that way. No big corporate stuff, just us and the books.
