Montu Scrab Dealer

Out here in Kakrola Bharat Vihar at E-415, we deal with all kinds of scrap. It is mostly metal, old pipes, and sometimes electronics that people don't want anymore. Montu Scrab Dealer is the name we use but most folks just call and ask if we can pick something up from their house. The yard gets pretty full sometimes so we have to move things out quickly to the bigger plants or the recycling centers. It’s heavy work and my hands are usually dirty by noon, no matter how much I wash them. We get a lot of old appliances from the houses around here. Sometimes it's a broken fridge or just bundles of old newspapers. We weigh everything right there on the big iron scale so there is no confusion about what it's worth. It’s a simple business really. We take what you don't need and make sure it goes where it can be melted down or used again. The weather affects us a lot since most of the work happens outside in the open air. When it rains we have to run and cover everything up with these big blue plastic sheets. My brother helps me with the lifting because some of those old iron gates and motors are really heavy. We have been at this spot for a few years now and most of the neighbors know our truck. It is not glamorous work but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. We just try to be fair with everyone who brings stuff in.
