Landscape Design Studio

The studio is located at Urban Farms in Chattarpur. It’s a bit of a drive out to 11A, especially with the Raj Nagar traffic. It feels different here than in the middle of the city because there is more green space around us. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and drawings of gardens. There are boots by the door because we are often out in the dirt checking on plants. The tables at Landscape Design Studio are usually covered in sketches and pots of pens. We have a few big windows that look out onto some trees, which is nice when the weather is good. It’s not a very formal place. We have a couple of dogs that hang around the office sometimes. We talk about soil, drainage, and what plants will survive the Delhi heat. Sometimes the internet is slow because we are a bit far out from the main hub. We drink a lot of coffee while we work on layouts. It is a messy process, getting a landscape right. There are samples of stones and tiles piled up in the corner. We don't have a receptionist; one of us just goes to the door when someone knocks. It is a quiet way to work, focusing on outdoor spaces. We leave the studio when the sun starts to go down. It’s just a group of us trying to figure out how to make gardens look decent.
