You can find us at F-170 in Katawaria Sarai, right here in New Delhi. We go by Karnawat Marble International. Working with marble is a heavy job, and our yard is usually full of slabs and the sound of cutting. Katawaria Sarai is a crowded area, so things can get a bit tight when we have deliveries coming in or going out. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, just doing our thing with the stone. It’s a dusty business, honestly. Our clothes are usually covered in white powder by the end of the shift. We don’t have a polished showroom with lights and mirrors. It’s more of a practical space where you can see the actual material. We talk to contractors and homeowners every day who are just trying to get their floors or counters done. We don’t use any high-pressure sales tactics. We just show what we have in stock and tell people the price. Delhi is a fast-paced city, but we try to keep things simple. Most of our business comes from people who live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. We just show up, move the marble, and head home. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’re happy to be part of the local trade here.
