We are based over at C/116 in Kapashera and most of our day is spent around trucks and cardboard boxes. It gets pretty loud and dusty around here with all the traffic coming in and out of the industrial area. Moving house is a lot of work and we see people at their most stressed out state almost every day. We spend a lot of time wrapping up furniture with old blankets and trying to fit everything into the back of a truck like a giant puzzle. Sometimes the hallways are too narrow or the elevators don't work, so we end up carrying heavy sofas down three flights of stairs. Our hands stay pretty dirty from all the lifting and the tape rolls making that loud screeching sound all morning. It’s not just about moving big stuff though, we also have to deal with all the small breakable things that people worry about. Kapashera is a busy area so just getting the truck out of the gate can take ten minutes sometimes. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning, just a place to keep our supplies and wait for the next job to come in. Most of the guys have been doing this for years so they know how to lift without hurting their backs. It’s a simple life of driving from one side of the city to the other and hoping we don't get stuck in a massive traffic jam that lasts for hours.
