Karma Nishtha Foundation

Karma Nishtha Foundation is run out of 198/9A/5F in Shri Ram Nagar Colony, right near the old water tank. Most people in the area use that water tank as a landmark to find us. We are located care of Renu Jain, who has been a part of this community for a long time. Our space isn't very large, just a few rooms where we keep our supplies and records. It’s a quiet area compared to the main roads, which we appreciate. The foundation is a small operation. We don't have fancy equipment or a fleet of vehicles. Mostly, we have ourselves and a few volunteers who show up when they can. We spend our time working on projects that affect the colony and the surrounding parts of the city. It’s a lot of ground-level effort. We talk to people on their doorsteps and listen to what they have to say about the neighborhood. Sometimes the work is just helping someone get their ID papers sorted or organizing a small local gathering. We don't have a marketing department telling us what to say. We just speak plainly. The walls could use a new coat of paint and the chairs squeak, but it’s our place. We stay focused on the tasks at hand, even when they seem small. It’s about being consistent and being here when people need us near the old water tank.
