Kalpakrit

We’ve been based here at 101 Anupam Apartments for quite some time now. Mehrauli-Badarpur Road is always humming with traffic outside, which you can hear even through the windows. Most days, we just come in, get the lights on, and start working. There isn’t anything fancy about our setup. It’s a basic apartment that we’ve turned into a workspace for Kalpakrit. You walk in and there are stacks of papers on almost every surface, and we usually have a few tea cups sitting around by the time lunch rolls around. Our name is on a small, simple plate outside the door. A lot of people walk right past it because the street is so busy and distracting. We like being here though because it’s easy for people to find us once they get off the main road. The ceiling fans hum all day long and we try to keep things in some kind of order, but it doesn't always work out when we have a lot on our plates. Sometimes you hear the neighbors in the hallway or the sound of someone’s television through the walls. It’s a normal, lived-in place where we handle our daily business. We don’t have a big reception area or a waiting room with magazines. It’s just a few desks, some sturdy chairs, and us trying to get through the tasks we have planned. If you decide to drop by, just look for the apartment number and give the door a knock. It’s just how things are in a small, local office like ours.
