Kalamkari Designs Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Flat No. 108 in the Shri Badrinath Apartments. We’re located at Plot No. 18 in Sector 4 of Dwarka, New Delhi. Being in an apartment building means it doesn't feel like a typical office. It’s more like a home that happens to have desks and computers in every room. We like it that way because it’s quiet and we can actually hear ourselves think. We have a small team, and we all know each other’s families and what’s going on in our lives. The kitchen is always being used for someone’s lunch or another round of coffee. We spend most of our time looking at designs on our screens or talking through projects in the living area. There aren't any big signs outside, so most people have to call us to find the right door. Dwarka is a nice area, and we’re lucky to be in a spot that has some trees outside the windows. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with strict rules and dress codes. We just show up, do our work, and try to make something we aren't embarrassed by. It’s a simple setup, but it works for what we do. Sometimes we stay late and order food in, just sitting around the desks and finishing up whatever needs to be done before the morning.
