Job Roots

You’ll find Job Roots at office number 429 on MG Road in Ghitorni. We’re up on one of the higher floors, so we get a bit of a break from the noise of the street down below. It’s not a huge office, just a workspace where we manage recruitment for various clients. Being in Delhi, there is always a huge demand for workers, so our days are usually pretty packed. We don't go in for fancy titles or corporate talk. We’re just a few people who know how to match a resume to a job description. A lot of our time is spent on the phone, talking to candidates and trying to figure out if they actually know what they say they know. It’s a lot of vetting and checking. The metro is close by, which helps because people can get to us easily. We see everyone from drivers to software people walking through that door. We don't have a big mission statement posted on the wall; we just want to get through the day’s tasks and make sure we didn't miss anyone's email. Sometimes the files get a bit disorganized and we have to spend a Saturday morning sorting everything out. It’s just the reality of running a small recruitment business in a big city. We keep things honest and tell people straight if we don't have anything for them. It’s a fast-paced environment, but we try to keep our feet on the ground and just do the job right.
