Indian Air Force

We are stationed at the Air Force Station in Palam, New Delhi. Our specific spot is Smq No. 89/12, which is over in Old Pinto Park. Living and working at Palam means you are always in the middle of things. The pincode here is 110010. It’s an old park area, so there are some trees, but it’s still very much a military station feel. The Indian Air Force has a lot of history here. Our SMQ is just a simple living and working quarter. It’s not fancy at all. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the windows rattle a bit when the big planes take off nearby. We are used to the noise now; it’s just part of the background. Inside, we have our basic setup. Desks, chairs, and a lot of registers. We spend our days tracking things and making sure the station runs like it should. It’s a lot of routine work, but it’s important. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just show up at Smq 89/12 and do what is on the schedule for that day. It is a bit dusty and the Delhi weather is always a challenge, but we get on with it. It’s just our life here at Old Pinto Park. We often walk over to the small canteen nearby for our tea breaks. It's a quiet existence within a very busy station.
