India Reads Together Foundation

If you know Rohini, you know Sector 4 is a pretty active place. Our office is at A1-139/140, which is basically where we spend all our time. It’s a residential-commercial mix, so you see all sorts of people passing by. We set up here because it felt like a good spot to settle down. Inside, we have bookshelves and a lot of papers scattered around. It’s not always the tidiest place, but we know where everything is. Mostly, we just sit and work through our projects. It’s a group of us who have been doing this for a while. We don't have a big corporate lobby or a front desk person. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it. The air conditioning works most of the time, thank goodness, because Delhi summers are no joke. We usually grab lunch from the local stalls around the corner. It’s a simple setup. We don't really do big meetings or fancy presentations. Most of our work happens right here at these desks. It can get a bit cramped when everyone shows up at once, but we make it work. It’s a practical space for practical people. Nothing more, nothing less. We’ve been in this part of North Delhi for long enough that the neighbors know us. It’s home for the foundation, and we like it that way.
