You can find us in Katwaria Sarai, right in Room No. 5 on the ground floor of building A-108. It’s near Hauz Khas, but Katwaria Sarai has its own very specific feel. It’s a bit of a maze with all the narrow lanes and students living everywhere. We’re staying with S.S. Kataria at this location. It’s a small office, mostly used for our administrative tasks in New Delhi. Since we are on the ground floor, it stays a bit cooler, which is a relief in the summer. We have a few computers and a printer that occasionally jams when we are in a hurry. The room is filled with folders and rolls of site plans. It’s not a place where we host big meetings. Usually, it's just one or two of us answering calls and coordinating with the site supervisors. We get our tea from the stall right outside the main gate. The traffic in this part of Delhi can be a nightmare, so we try to do our traveling during the off-peak hours. There’s always people moving around outside, so it never feels lonely. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and it serves as a good home base. It’s nothing special to look at, just a regular room with some desks and chairs, but it’s where all the behind-the-scenes work for our local projects happens. We keep the door open most days to let some air in.
