Dwarka Nath Educational & Welfare Association

The Dwarka Nath Educational & Welfare Association is located up in Chatarpur Hills at 365/2, D 25. It’s a bit of a climb to get here, but the air is a little clearer than in the middle of the city. Our space is mostly used for teaching and helping people with different things they might need. We’ve got some books piled up and a few benches for people to sit on. It’s not a big institution or anything like that. It’s just a local association where we try to look out for our neighbors. Some days we are helping kids with their lessons, and other days we are sorting out paperwork for someone who needs assistance. The building is a bit old, so there’s always a door that squeaks or a light that needs fixing. We don’t mind it much because we are usually too busy to notice. People from all over the hills come by. It’s a mix of a classroom and a community spot. We started this because we saw a need in this part of New Delhi and just decided to fill it ourselves. There’s no corporate board or anything, just a few of us who live nearby and want to be useful. It can be a bit chaotic when everyone shows up at once, but we manage. It’s just a normal part of our lives now, being here and helping out.
