Dp World Intermodal

Our office is at L 177 in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi. Most people know Sarojini for the markets, but we are tucked away in a different part handling the intermodal side of things. It’s a bit of a cramped office if we are being honest. We have desks pushed together and maps of the rail and road networks pinned to the walls. Intermodal work involves a lot of switching between different types of transport, so we spend our day staring at schedules and trying to make things line up. It doesn't always go perfectly, but we do our bit to fix the gaps. The tea boy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a breather. The air in Delhi can be thick, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We handle a lot of emails and phone calls from people wondering where their containers are. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit every day. Most of us just wear plain shirts and get to work. There are a lot of files and old records sitting on the shelves that probably need sorting, but we are usually too busy with the new stuff coming in. We just keep the wheels turning from our little corner of Sarojini Nagar. There is always a lot of chatter on the phones and the sound of keyboards clicking as we update the logs. It is just regular office work.
