About Development Officer, Ministry Of Mines – Metals & Minerals in South West Delhi
We operate out of room 518-C in Sector 3 of RK Puram. If you know New Delhi, you know this is a pretty government-heavy area. It’s full of blocks and offices, and we are just one of them. Our office is tied to the Development Officer for the Ministry of Mines. Most people think government offices are these huge, mysterious places, but really it’s just us sitting at desks with a lot of paperwork. We deal with various things related to mining and development, mostly coordinating between different departments. The office is simple, with old files and the usual government-issue furniture. It’s not a place where we do much self-promotion. We have a job to do and we just get on with it every morning. Every day is pretty much the same—answering calls, looking over reports, and making sure everything follows the rules. RK Puram is a busy spot, and finding parking can be a real headache sometimes. We usually walk to get some lunch at the nearby markets to stretch our legs. It’s a very grounded environment. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just follow the protocols laid out for us. It’s a bit of a maze in Sector 3, but once you find the 518-C door, you’ve reached us. It’s practical, straightforward work that happens every day in this corner of Delhi. We just keep the wheels turning as best as we can.
