Chardi Kala Social Foundation

Our foundation, Chardi Kala Social Foundation, is based in B-101 of the Anmol Apartments. That’s at Plot No 3A in Sector 2, Dwarka. It’s a nice enough apartment complex to work from. We chose this spot because it’s quiet and lets us focus on our social work without too many distractions. Being in Sector 2, we are a bit away from the heaviest traffic of Delhi, which is a relief most days when you just want to get things done. The office is just a converted apartment space. We have our meetings in what would normally be the living room. It’s a comfortable way to work. We don't really like the cold feeling of those big office parks. Here, we can make ourselves a cup of tea in the kitchen and then get right back to work. We’ve been here at Anmol Apartments for a bit now. The neighbors are mostly families, so we keep our voices down and just go about our business quietly. Chardi Kala is a name that represents a certain spirit of being positive, and we try to keep that in mind while we work through our projects. We don't have a big budget for decorations, so it’s just plain walls and functional furniture. It’s all we really need. Dwarka is a big place, but this little corner of Sector 2 feels like our own little space. We just take things one day at a time here.
