C R P F Base Hospital India is located out in Jhroda Kalan. It’s a bit further out than some other places, but it’s where we are based. The area is a bit quieter than the center of the city, which is sometimes nice when things get busy inside. We’ve been here at the base for a long time. The hospital itself is a large facility meant to handle a lot of people at once. It’s not like a small private clinic; it’s a base hospital. We have a lot of different wings and departments for all sorts of medical needs. The surroundings in Jhroda Kalan are mostly open and can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up. We just focus on the day-to-day operations here. There’s a lot of protocol and routine to follow, as you might expect given where we are. The staff here lives nearby or on the base itself, so it's a tight-knit group. We don't do any marketing or try to sound like something we aren't. We are just a hospital for the personnel and the community around the base. The days start early here. You can see the sun coming up over the fields nearby most mornings. It’s a hard-working environment. We just get on with the tasks at hand. It might not be the most glamorous spot, but it’s an important one for the area. Jhroda Kalan is our home and we've been here for many years. We stay ready for whatever comes.
