Our office is located at E-52 on New Manglapuri Mandi Road, over in Mehrauli. It’s a busy stretch of road, and finding a parking spot can be a real struggle most mornings. The building is pretty standard for this part of town, nothing that really stands out from the street. Inside, it’s a mix of office space and storage areas. We deal with a lot of international stuff, so there are always papers flying around and people checking their watches to see what time it is in other countries. The air conditioner in the main room is a bit temperamental; it either freezes you out or barely works at all. We have a lot of samples hanging up on the walls and tucked into corners, mostly leather and garments that we’ve been working on. It’s a fast-paced place, and people are usually moving quickly between the desks and the storage rooms. We aren’t really into the whole corporate culture thing. We just focus on getting the shipments ready and making sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. Most of us bring our own lunch and eat together while talking about local news or whatever is happening on the road outside. It gets pretty dusty because of the construction nearby, but we just wipe down the desks and keep going. It’s just a normal, busy workplace where everyone knows their job.
