Bhagsar Welfare Foundation

Mahavir Enclave is a crowded place, and Gali Number 9 is no different. We are at RZ-D3/251, on the first floor. It’s pretty easy to find if you look for the Kotak Mahindra bank nearby; that’s the main landmark everyone uses around here. The Bhagsar Welfare Foundation office isn't anything fancy. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when we have visitors. The stairs are narrow, and you have to be careful coming up. We’ve got a couple of desks and some chairs that have been around for years. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there’s always the sound of traffic and people talking outside. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a big logo on the wall. We just have our work. Sometimes the internet is slow or the water cooler runs out, but we just deal with it. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We’re just a local foundation where people can drop in and talk to us. Most of the people who come by live in the same area, so we know a lot of the faces. It’s a very grounded way of working. We don’t spend money on polished brochures or marketing; we just use what we have to keep things moving. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it’s home for us and we like being here. We aren't out to impress anyone, just to be useful to our community.
