Balcorp (India) Pvt. Ltd. is based at 512, Ansal Chamber II, over in Bhikaji Cama Place. It’s a busy commercial area, and our office is right in the thick of it. We’ve been operating out of this suite for several years. It’s a typical office setup—computers, desks, and a lot of filing cabinets that we should probably clean out. We deal with various corporate tasks and trading. It’s a lot of administrative work and staying on top of regulations. The team is small but we’ve worked together for a long time, so we have a good rhythm. We aren't big on corporate buzzwords or fancy mission statements. We just show up and handle whatever the day brings. Sometimes the air conditioning in the building acts up, or the parking is a nightmare, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time on the phone with clients and vendors. It’s not always exciting, but it’s steady work and we take it seriously. We don't have a big PR department; we just do our jobs and hope the work speaks for itself. It’s a practical environment. We have our tea together in the afternoon and talk about things other than work sometimes. It’s just a group of people trying to run a decent business in a busy city. We try to keep things simple and organized without too much fuss.
