Asha Ki Udaan Foundation

Asha Ki Udaan Foundation is located at C-119 in New Rajendra Nagar. This part of town is usually a bit quieter than the busy markets nearby, which we appreciate. The building is an older one, the kind where you know the neighbors and they know when you’ve had a delivery. We’ve set up our things in a few rooms here. There is a small table where we keep the newspapers and a couple of cupboards full of stuff we’ve collected over the months. It’s not a corporate office by any stretch of the imagination. We have some old curtains that probably need washing and the floor tiles are a bit chipped in the corners. We spend most of our time here just talking through things or answering the phone when it rings. Sometimes the tea lady from down the street brings us snacks in the afternoon. It feels more like a home that turned into a workspace than a real office. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who show up every morning and stay until the work is finished. People in the area know the address, so we get a lot of folks just dropping by to say hello or ask a quick question. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of that. Just a door with our name on it and some desks inside where we try to stay organized. It’s a simple spot in a nice enough neighborhood.
