Aricia Buying Services operates out of room 702 in Bhikaji Cama Bhawan. That’s building number 11 in the Bhikaji Cama Place area. It’s a busy commercial hub, and the elevators in this building have seen better days. We often joke that taking the stairs to the seventh floor would be faster, though none of us actually do it. Once you get inside our office, it’s a bit quieter than the hallway. We have a good view of the other buildings from up here. The work at Aricia Buying Services is mostly about staying organized. We have stacks of files and various samples coming in from different places all the time. Our desks are usually covered in notes and spreadsheets. It’s not a fancy place, just a standard office where we spend most of our waking hours. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going, especially during the busy seasons when the orders are piling up. The area around Bhikaji Cama Place has some decent food stalls, so we usually head down there for a quick bite in the afternoon. Dealing with the various aspects of buying and logistics means there is never a dull moment. We have been here at 702 for a while now, and the walls are covered with old calendars and maps. It is just a regular group of people doing their best to keep the business running smoothly from this little corner of the city.
