Anand Aggarwal Sweets

Anand Aggarwal Sweets is found at G/4 in Dwarka. This is a newer part of the city compared to some others, but it still gets plenty busy. Our shop is on the ground floor. We have big glass windows that look out onto the street. Inside, we have rows of different items kept in glass cases. Most of our work happens in the early hours before the sun is even up. We have to get the milk and the sugar ready. It’s a lot of stirring and watching the temperatures. G/4 is a decent spot, though the parking outside can be a mess on the weekends. We don't really have a philosophy or a goal other than finishing the work we started in the morning. The floor is made of stone and it stays relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. We have some lights that flicker occasionally, but they get the job done. Dwarka has a lot of families, so we see many parents coming in with their kids. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just making sweets and selling them to whoever walks in. The counter is usually sticky by the end of the day, no matter how much we wipe it. We just do the same thing every day and that’s how we like it.
