About Amit Khanna Architects – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in South West Delhi
Our spot is over at Basant Enclave 261, pretty close to the IGI Domestic Airport. You can hear the planes sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We spend a lot of time at our desks or heading out to various sites around the city. It’s a small team here, and we mostly just focus on getting the drawings right for people. Amit started this a while back, and we’ve stayed in this same area since then. The office has plenty of stacks of files and old models tucked away in corners. It's not the most organized place, but we know where everything is when we need it. Some days are just meetings with contractors who have questions about the plumbing or where a beam goes. Other days are spent staring at a computer screen until our eyes hurt. We don't really do the whole fancy corporate thing. It’s more about figuring out how to fit a kitchen into a tight corner or making sure a roof doesn't leak. Living and working near the airport means things move fast, but we try to take our time with the actual planning. We like the local vibe of Basant Enclave. It feels like a real neighborhood despite the big airport next door. We keep the door open mostly, unless it's too dusty outside. Just a regular bunch of people doing architecture work every day. Sometimes we watch the big planes take off while drinking tea.
