Absence of Darkness

Absence of Darkness is located in Vasant Kunj at Flat No 3227, Sector A, Pocket B & C. It might sound like a strange name, but we’re just a small group of people working out of a regular residential flat. Being in a residential area means it’s mostly quiet, except for the occasional delivery bike or neighbors talking in the hallway. We’ve turned one of the main rooms into our office space, with desks pushed up against the walls and plenty of power strips for our equipment. It’s not a fancy corporate setup at all. We have our own small kitchen and we take turns making sure there’s enough milk for everyone’s tea. The curtains are usually half-drawn to keep the afternoon sun from hitting the computer screens too hard. We don’t have a sign on the door, so you have to know which flat you’re looking for. It feels much more comfortable than a cold office building. We spend most of our time staring at screens and talking to each other about whatever project is on the desk that day. We don't have big meetings or formal presentations. We just sit together and work until the day is done. Sometimes we stay late and order some food from the local market nearby. It’s a simple, low-key way of running things and it works well for the kind of stuff we do here in Vasant Kunj.
