We are based out in New Delhi in the 110045 area which is a pretty active part of the city. Being in the capital means things move fast and there’s always a bit of a rush to get things finished. Our office isn’t huge but we make it work with the space we have. There are stacks of files on almost every surface because we handle a lot of the logistics for this region. The sound of the traffic outside is constant and you can hear the horns honking even when the windows are shut tight. We have a small team here and we all know our roles pretty well by now. Most of the day is spent coordinating shipments and making sure the mineral orders are going to the right places. It gets very dusty in Delhi especially when the wind picks up so we are always wiping down the desks and the screens. We take our breaks when we can and usually grab something to eat from the local vendors nearby. It’s a lot of coordination and keeping track of details on the computer. The commute can be long for some of us depending on the metro or the traffic on the main roads. We don’t have anything fancy in the office just the essentials like desks chairs and a decent internet connection. It’s a busy place and we just try to keep things organized so nothing gets lost in the shuffle of the big city.
