Simcheykhang Veterinary Clinic

Simcheykhang Veterinary Clinic is based up in Assangthang, Namchi, which is a beautiful but somewhat rugged area. We are the main spot for people to bring their animals when something goes wrong. The clinic is a modest setup, mostly just a couple of rooms and a yard where we can look at larger animals like cows or goats. A lot of our work involves helping the local farmers with their livestock, but we also see plenty of dogs and cats from the neighborhood. It is a hands-on kind of place, so we are often covered in dirt or fur by the end of the day. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, so we rely on what we know and the basic tools we have kept in good shape over the years. The mountain air is nice, but when it rains, the path to the clinic gets a bit muddy and slippery. We spend our time giving vaccinations, stitching up cuts, and talking to owners about how to keep their animals healthy during the colder months. It is not a polished office with a fancy front desk; it is just a working clinic where we do our best to look after the creatures that live up here in Namchi. We just take things one animal at a time and try to stay busy.
