Jinziram Welfare Foundation

If you walk down College Road in Hatsingimari, you'll find us pretty easily. We are at House Number 40, in Ward Number 10, right near the BSNL office. Being so close to the BSNL building is handy because everyone knows where that is. The Jinziram Welfare Foundation isn't a big corporate entity. It’s just us working out of a small space near the college. We get a lot of students walking by every day, which keeps the energy up around here. Our office is fairly basic, just some chairs and a table where we plan out our welfare activities. We started this foundation because there was a gap in local support that we thought we could fill. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we’re scratching our heads over how to solve a problem, but we keep at it. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of writers. It’s just us writing down what we need to do and then going out and doing it. People from the ward often stop by to say hello or ask for advice on something. We try to be available as much as we can. It’s a community-driven thing, really. We’re just neighbors helping neighbors from our little spot on College Road. It’s a bit cramped when everyone shows up at once, but we make it work somehow. We are just a group of regular people trying to be useful here.
