Wild Cat

Our little place is in Apna Baazar, shop DG/14. We are right opposite Tato Restaurant in Margao. It’s a busy market area. There are shops all around us and people are always rushing somewhere. We've been here for a while. It's a small space, so we have to stay organized. We don't have a big staff. It's usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We deal with whatever customers need. It’s not a polished corporate office. It’s a market shop. We have shelves full of stuff and things tucked into corners. The name Wild Cat sounds a bit unusual, but it's just what we called it. We open up in the morning when the rest of the baazar starts moving. Margao is a noisy place but we like being in the middle of it. You get to hear all the gossip and see everyone. We don't do any big advertising. If people need us, they find us. Usually, someone tells them where we are. We try to keep the shop in good order, but it’s a lot of work with so many items. Sometimes the lights flicker or it gets too hot, but we just carry on. It's an honest living. We've known our neighbors for years. We all help each other out when needed. That's how it works here in Apna Baazar. Just a simple shop in the city. We don't want anything too complicated. Just a regular day at the shop.
