Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital

Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital is located in the Karai area of Shiroda. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main cities, but it’s a peaceful spot for a college. The building is a large one, standing out against the greenery that Shiroda is known for. We have students coming from all over to learn about homeopathy here. It’s an interesting mix of a school and a working hospital. You’ll see students in their white coats walking across the grounds, carrying thick books and chatting about their classes. The hospital side sees a lot of local people who have trusted this system of medicine for a long time. It’s not the kind of place where everything is rushed. We take our time with the consultations. The labs are always busy with students practicing how to mix remedies. During the monsoon, the whole place turns very green, and the sound of the rain on the roof is almost constant. We have dorms for the students and various wards for the patients. It’s a self-contained little world here in Karai. We don't have fancy cafes or anything like that; there’s just a basic canteen where everyone eats. It’s a place for serious study and for people to find some relief from their health issues in a quiet setting. We’ve been part of this landscape for many years now. It’s just part of the local life out here in the countryside.
