Ncaor, Vasco Da Gama

Ncaor has a presence out here in Sirvoi, Kepem, away from the busier parts of Vasco Da Gama. We’re at House No. 262 in the Padadeg Kumbharwada area. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but it’s a quiet place to get things done. The house is a regular Goan home that we use for our operations. Being in the 403705 zip code means we’re surrounded by a bit more greenery and a lot less noise than the city centre. We handle various tasks related to the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research, but from this local branch, it feels much more grounded. There’s a lot of data and paperwork that passes through these rooms. The walls are a bit plain and the furniture is just whatever was practical at the time. We don’t have a big staff here, so it’s usually just a couple of us working through the logs. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes it hard to even hear yourself think against the roof. We don’t have a big sign out front or a fancy entrance. It’s just House 262. People who need to find us usually have the address written down. It’s a simple way of working, focusing on the details without any of the usual office drama. We like the peace of Kumbharwada. It lets us focus on the tasks at hand without too many distractions from the outside world. It’s just work, day in and day out, in a quiet corner of Goa.
