Indian Navy

Being based at 321 Flight Ins Hansa right by Dabolim Airport in Goa is definitely unique. The sound of planes taking off is basically the background music to our entire day. For those of us working here at the Indian Navy, it is just a normal part of the routine. The office itself is quite basic and built for purpose rather than comfort. We spend a lot of our time checking over things and making sure the logs are up to date. The heat and humidity in Goa can get pretty intense, especially in the afternoons, so we try to stay productive before it gets too heavy. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of those corporate perks. It is just a place where we come to work and talk about what needs doing next. Most of the staff live nearby or on the base, so we are a pretty close group. We usually eat our lunch together and talk about regular stuff, not just work. The rain during the monsoon season can be really something else, sometimes making it hard to even see the runway. But we just keep at it and stay focused on the tasks. It isn't a glamorous life, but it is a steady one. We are just doing our bit here at the airport and keeping things moving as they should.
