About Goa Clinic – Medical & Healthcare in South Goa
Down in Junas Wadda in Mandrim, things are a bit slower than in the big cities, but our clinic stays plenty busy. We are right there in the neighborhood where everyone knows each other. It’s a small place, nothing like those giant hospitals you see in the movies. We handle the basic stuff that comes up in a village like this. Maybe someone has a fever or a cut that won't stop bleeding, or they just need a bit of advice on their health. We see a lot of the same faces every month. Since Mandrim gets a lot of visitors, we also have people from all over the world walking in with sunburns or upset stomachs from trying too much local food. We don't have a big reception desk with a dozen phones ringing. It’s usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We keep our notes, we talk to the patients, and we try to make sure everyone feels okay before they leave. The sea is close by, so you can sometimes feel the breeze if the door is open, which is nice. It isn't a perfect system and sometimes we run out of a certain bandage and have to wait for the delivery, but we make it work. Most people who live around here appreciate having a place close to home where they don't have to dress up or act fancy just to see a doctor.
