Dr Dukle Hospital And Research Centre is situated in Ximer, Bardez, right near the Hotel Bypass Inn in Candolim. It’s a decent-sized place where we handle a lot of different medical situations. Because we are near the bypass, we see people coming in from all parts of the area, not just those living right in Candolim. The building itself has been here for a while and it has that lived-in feel. We do regular hospital work like checking on patients and managing beds, but we also have a research side where we look into things a bit more closely. That part involves a lot of reading and keeping track of data, which can get a bit tedious but it’s important. The staff here is a small, dedicated group and we all have our own ways of doing things. Sometimes the hallways get a bit cluttered with equipment, and the waiting area is usually full of people sitting quietly. It’s not the most modern building in the world, but it works for what we need. We spend our mornings doing rounds and making sure everyone is comfortable. Candolim is a very touristy place, but our corner near Ximer feels more like a quiet spot for serious work. We don’t really do any big promotions or anything like that. People mostly find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby. We just keep things moving and try to handle whatever comes through the door.
