Down here in Goa, our office is tucked away in House No. 39 at Orgao Marcela. It’s a quiet spot compared to the touristy parts of the state, which suits us just fine. Being Desalination Engineering Pvt Ltd, we deal with a lot of technical stuff regarding water, but our day-to-day is actually quite ordinary. The office is in a regular house, so it doesn't feel like those cold glass buildings you see in big cities. We’ve got our desks set up and there’s always a bit of a breeze coming through if the windows are open. Marcela is a nice area, fairly easy-going. Most of the people working here are locals from the 403 107 postcode or nearby villages. We spend a lot of time on phone calls or looking at technical drawings on our screens. It’s not a flashy place, just a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes we have to head out to sites, but when we’re in, it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards and the occasional coffee break. We’ve been at this address for some time now. It’s a solid place to work from. There’s a small garden area outside House 39 that we look after when we have a spare moment. It makes the workday a bit more pleasant. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we just handle the engineering side of things from our little corner of Orgao.
