Carvalhos Dental Clinic

You can find Carvalhos Dental Clinic over at Shop No. 1 in the Mabai Hotel. We are right opposite the Municipal Garden, which is a nice view to have when you’re stepping out for a bit of air. Being inside the hotel building makes us easy to spot, especially since the garden is such a well-known landmark in this part of town. The clinic itself is small and practical. We have the dental chairs set up and all the tools laid out ready for the day's appointments. It smells like a typical dental office, a mix of mint and that clean, sharp scent of sanitizer. We spend our hours looking at teeth, cleaning up cavities, and talking to people about why they should floss more. Most of our patients come from the neighborhood, though we get some tourists staying at the hotel too. The waiting area has a few old magazines and enough chairs for three or four people. It’s usually quiet inside, except for the sound of the drill or the water sprayer. We don't have a big corporate team; it's just a few of us making sure everything is sterilized and the schedule is followed. When the sun goes down, the lights from the Municipal Garden come on, and it’s actually quite a nice spot to finish up the workday. We just focus on the teeth and keeping the shop running smoothly for whoever walks through the door.
