Busy Bee 7Th Day Adventist English School

Our school, Busy Bee 7Th Day Adventist English School, is located in Desterro Vaddo in Vasco Da Gama, Goa. It’s a neighborhood that has its own character, being quite close to the harbor area. You can often feel the sea breeze, which is a nice break from the humidity we get here in Goa. The school is a simple building where we’ve been operating for quite some time. We have students coming in from all parts of Vasco. The mornings start with a bit of a rush as the buses and scooters arrive at the gate. Inside, it’s mostly just standard classrooms with the usual desks and chairs. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy equipment. We mostly just focus on the textbooks and the lessons for the day. Being a 7th Day Adventist school, we have our own specific way of scheduling things, especially when the weekend comes around. The staff here is a small group of people who have mostly been working together for years. We know the families in Desterro Vaddo well. It’s not a corporate environment at all; it’s more about the day-to-day work of running a school in a coastal town. We deal with the rain during the monsoon and the heat in the summer just like everyone else. There is always a bit of sand on the floors and the sound of the town outside, but we just keep on with our teaching and the daily chores.
