Our place is situated in Malbhat, right in the heart of Margao. It is a central spot which makes it easy to find, though the streets around here can get pretty tight with cars. The hospital itself is a solid building that has seen plenty of years. When you walk in, you notice the tall ceilings and the way the sound echoes in the main lobby. We have several departments all crammed into the space, so it can feel a bit like a maze if you aren't used to it. The nurses are usually rushing around with clipboards or tablets. We have the standard hospital beds and the equipment you’d expect to see in a place like this. It’s not about being stylish; it’s about having a place for people to stay when they are sick. The windows look out over the Malbhat neighborhood, and you can see the rooftops of the nearby houses. Maintenance is a constant job here because things break down when they get used so much. We go through a lot of floor wax and light bulbs. Day shift and night shift just sort of blend into each other. Most of us live nearby, so we know the local shops and where to get a quick tea. It is just a working hospital trying to stay on top of the daily patient list. The elevators are a bit slow but they get you where you need to go eventually.
