Our place is up in Monte Hill, over in Aquem. It’s a quiet enough area for a real estate office. We’ve been operating under the name Angelpark Realtors for some time. We spend most of our mornings checking listings and making sure we haven't missed any new spots coming on the market. It’s a lot of legwork, honestly. People think real estate is just showing nice houses, but there’s a ton of driving around and checking boundaries that nobody sees. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. It's just a functional space where we get things done. Some days the internet is slow, and we end up doing everything on paper. We know the streets around here pretty well since we're always out and about. If someone is looking for a place, we just tell them what we've seen lately. We don't use those scripted sales pitches you hear on TV. It feels more natural just to talk like normal people. Sometimes we have to tell people a house isn't right for them, even if they like it, just because of some issue we noticed with the plumbing or the roof. It’s better to be honest than to have problems later. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized, even when the desk gets buried in files. It’s a local business, and we like it that way.
